Almaty is a city of contrasts, where glass and concrete skyscrapers stand alongside traditional mud-brick houses. Bustling bazaars selling everything from fresh produce to traditional handicrafts can be found next to luxury shopping malls with designer boutiques and international brands. Almaty is renowned for its natural beauty. The city is located at the foot of the Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains, which offer a wealth of outdoor recreation opportunities such as hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. The area surrounding the city is also home to several picturesque lakes and waterfalls, perfect for picnics and nature retreats
Turgen Waterfalls
Turgen Waterfall is one of the most beautiful and easily accessible waterfalls in the vicinity of Almaty. It is located in the picturesque Turgen Gorge, just 90 km from the city.
The waterfall is a cascade of three waterfalls, with a total height of about 30 meters. The highest waterfall is about 12 meters high. The waterfall is surrounded by cliffs and lush vegetation, creating a stunning landscape.
Almarasan

After arriving at Almaty International Airport, proceed through immigration and customs, where your driver will welcome you at the arrival hall to transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 2: Almaty – Turgen Waterfall
Duration: 7 hours

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Almaty, we will depart from Almaty and embark on a scenic drive towards Turgen Gorge. Arrive at Turgen Gorge Natural Park and be greeted by the iconic Golden Man and Snow Leopard statues, symbols of Kazakhstan’s rich cultural heritage.
Embark on a leisurely walking tour to the breathtaking waterfall, suitable for all fitness levels. Marvel at the cascading waters and the symphony of nature that surrounds you.
Take some time to relax and soak in the tranquility of the waterfall, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
After a memorable experience at Turgen Gorge, drive back to Almaty.
Transfer to your hotel, where you can refresh and afterwards we will have a walk to local restaurant for dinner.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Almaty, meet your friendly guide and driver in the lobby.
Depart from Almaty and embark on a scenic drive towards Alma-Arasan Gorge.
Arrive at Alma-Arasan Gorge and prepare to be captivated by its stunning beauty.
Embark on a guided tour through the picturesque Prohodnoe Gorge, marveling at the towering rock formations and lush vegetation that line your path.
Continue your exploration to the enchanting Ausai Gorge, where you will witness the mesmerizing beauty of cascading waterfalls and pristine alpine lakes.

Transfer to the city center and embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Astana.

Visit the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, a magnificent pyramid-shaped building that hosts international conferences and events.

What to bring:
- Trekking boots with proper ankle support and a reliable tread. It’s also advisable to carry an extra pair of shoes or sandals in case your main footwear gets wet during rain or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Waterproof rain jacket and trousers to protect you from rain and wet conditions.
- Warm clothing and extra layers for changing weather conditions.
- Hat and cap to shield yourself from the sun, along with sunglasses and high-factor sun cream to protect your skin.
- A daypack with a capacity of 40-50 liters and a rain cover to keep your belongings dry. It’s also a good idea to line your daypack with a quality plastic bag for added protection.
- A first aid kit, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or require specific medication.
