Bishkek City
Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan, located in the north of the country, at the foothills of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains. It is the largest city and the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. Bishkek is home to over 1 million people and serves as a gateway to the rest of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is a modern city with wide boulevards, parks, and museums. The city has many historical and cultural landmarks, including Ala-Too Square, the State Historical Museum, and the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts. Bishkek is also home to several universities and research institutes.
Canyon Skazka
The canyon was formed by centuries of erosion from the Skazka River, which flows through the canyon. The river has carved out the soft sandstone and clay, creating a landscape of hoodoos, spires, and other unusual rock formations. The rocks are a variety of colors, including red, yellow, orange, and white, which gives the canyon its fairy tale-like appearance.
Jety Oguz Valley
Jety Oguz (translated as “Seven Bulls”) is a gorge located in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan, about 25 kilometers from the town of Karakol. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful scenery and its red rock formations.
The gorge was formed by centuries of erosion from the Jety Oguz River, which flows through the gorge. The river has carved out the soft sandstone and clay, creating a landscape of hoodoos, spires, and other unusual rock formations. Altyn Arashan Valley

Cholpon Ata Town
Cholpon-Ata is a city located on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. It is the administrative center of the Issyk-Kul Region. Cholpon-Ata is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful beaches, its museums, and its proximity to the mountains. Cholpon-Ata is a great place to experience the natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan. The city is located on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, which is the second largest alpine lake in the world. The lake is surrounded by mountains, which provide stunning views.
Ala Archa Natural Park
Ala Archa National Park is a national park located in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too Mountains, about 40 kilometers south of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The park was established in 1976 to protect the unique natural beauty of the Ala-Archa Gorge.
The Ala-Archa Gorge is a deep and narrow gorge with steep cliffs, waterfalls, and glaciers. The gorge is home to a variety of plants and animals, including wildflowers, edelweiss, marmots, and snow leopards.

PROGRAM
DAY 1: Airport Manas – Bishkek City
Distance: 30 min
After arriving at Manas International Airport, proceed through immigration and customs, where your guide & driver will welcome you at the arrival hall to transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 2: Bishkek City – Karakol Town
Distance: 400 km
Driving: 7 hours
After breakfast we check out from the Hotel and drive towards the Eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. Today we will visit Canyon Skazka, where we will do small hiking, lunch en-route café. Afterwards we will continue the trip to Jety Oguz Valley with Red Rocks, small hiking to the panorama to get the beautiful view. Upon arrival to Karakol Town, we will be accommodated in the Hotel 3*. Dinner at local restaurant.

DAY 3: Karakol Town – Altyn Arashan
Distance: 35 km
Driving: 2 hours
Breakfast in the Hotel, today we will change our transport into a Soviet Truck 4×4 and will drive to Altyn Arashan Valley, it’s a one most impressive valleys in this region, very well known for its natural hot springs. Upon arrival we will do hiking up to Anyrtor Valley up to 2700m. After hiking we will come back to Altyn Arashan hot springs, where we will have a lunch in a traditional house of Nomads Yurt.
Drive back to Karakol Town, dinner in a Restaurant.

DAY 4: Karakol Town – Bishkek City
Distance: 400 km
Driving: 6-7 hours
Breakfast in the Hotel, drive to Bishkek along the fascinating northern shore of Yssyk Kul Lake. On the way we will stop in Cholpon Ata Town for Boating on the lake and Cultural Complex Ruh Ordo. After excursion’s we will have a lunch at local restaurant. We leave the town of Cholpon Ata to Bishkek via Burana Tower. Upon arrival to Bishkek City check-in the hotel. Dinner in a restaurant.

DAY 5: Bishkek City – Ala Archa Natural Park
Distance: 40 km
Driving: 1 hour
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to the “Ala-Archa National Park” 40 minutes. It is an alpine national park in the Tian Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan. Afterwards we will drive back to Bishkek for sightseeing tour in the city. Lunch at local restaurant. Transfer to airport Manas. End of a tour.

- Waterproof rain jacket and trousers to protect you from rain and wet conditions.

- Hat and cap to shield yourself from the sun, along with sunglasses and high-factor sun cream to protect your skin.Head-torch for navigating in low-light conditions or during nighttime.

Clothing
- Layered clothing: to adapt to varying weather conditions.
- Waterproof jacket and pants: To stay dry during rain or wet conditions.
- Warm hat and gloves: To protect against the cold, especially at higher altitudes.
- Comfortable boots: Well-fitted and sturdy, preferably waterproof.
- Additional pair of shoes or sandals for leisure time
- Extra socks and underwear: Moisture-wicking and quick-drying options are best.
Food and Water
- Water bottles: To reduce waste we’ll recommend you to buy 7-10l Bottles from the stores and refill your small bottle.
- Food: meals which are not included to the program, you’ll have the choice to try local food at markets/bazars on the way, at restaurant or cafes.
Safety
- First aid kit: Include bandages, antiseptics, pain relievers and any personal medications.
- Personal hygiene items: Biodegradable soap, toilet paper, wet wipes.
- Medications: Any personal medications, plus extras in case of delays. We are sometimes in very remote areas, so obtaining these items could be difficult.
- Sun protection: Sunscreen and lip balm with SPF, hat, sunglasses.
- Insurance: Travel insurance is not included in the tour package. It is highly recommended that clients have their own travel insurance to cover illness, injury, and loss or damage to personal belongings. In case of an emergency, the staff will do their best to assist and transport you to a hospital or another point of care. However, if you do not have insurance, you will be required to cover the charges yourself. Your insurance should also cover helicopter services and rescue/search operations in the mountains.
Miscellaneous
- Money: it’s common to pay by cash.
Credit cards and Visa cards to withdraw money can be used in Bishkek, Karakol only. - In bigger restaurants, cafes or gas station sometimes you can pay by card.
- Camera or smartphone: To capture the beautiful scenery.
- Power bank: To keep your electronic devices charged. In theory, accommodation places in the countryside have electricity. But it does not mean “automatically” that in practice it’ll be so. Sometimes there is the problem with electricity in some places but it is very unpredictable.
- Wifi: at accommodation at the moutains can be possible but don’t expect it. Same with mobile phone reception
- Reusable bags: For carrying trash out of remote areas.
Remember, packing light is important, but make sure you have all the essentials to stay safe and comfortable during your horse trekking adventure. Enjoy the ride!
